120k miles is nothing to brag about. You have endured really shitty car for 120k miles -- all the power to you. I can say the same about reliability of my 900 with over 300k miles (original everything, including clutch) and I enjoyed every mile tremendously. Still do.
My co-worker has a 2001 Civic. It is a piece of junk -- his words, not mine. It is shot at 60k miles. Completely worn out. He hates it. He also had a 1998 Civic before that -- same story.
My wife's friend has a 2003 Civic -- hates it. With a passion.
For $28k you can buy many very nice cars. Accord is nice but not for $28k. At $18k it's a nice car. Except for vibrating pedals and steering wheel...
