Thanks for the heads up. I read reviews on carsurvey.org that is congruent with your experience.
No worries, neither of us are jumping for joy regarding the Mini. Her driving impression was just so-so. She wants to drive an 'S' to see if it is better but the last thing she wants is a serious problem vehicle. My trusty Saabtech of 12 years just raised his hourly rate to $75. Not sure how much longer I will be driving a Saab myself at that price. I could be driving an old 911 or Bimmer. Speaking of which, She's looking at 3 series BMW's too but has not driven one yet.
Ultimately, she's looking for a low-mileage VW GTI-type vehicle for around $15K or less. She's ruled a lot out but suggestions are welcome. She's 26 and not looking for something too kidsy but nothing to grandish either.
My buddies and I used to play a game called "VW or Honda" where we would count the girls in Hondas and VW when on the highway.
