a 4 cylinder non-turbo engine. 160 hp, which isn't enough when you load that vehicle up, IMO. Most of the power and torque is at fairly high revs.
I stopped at the Mazda store when they had one out front, but the low power was a turn off for me.
But I checked out a Mazda 6 Wagon and that is a real nice rig. Comparable in size to a 9-5 with sticker in mid-20s with a 215 HP V6 and 6-speed automatic. Going to drive one soon. Never would have thought of one, but talked to a guy the other day who used to have a Saab 9000, which he loved. Then he had a 9-5 that gave him lots of trouble. He loves his Mazda6 wagon.
It's on the short list for us as we look at wagons: 9-5, Suby Outback, Mazda6.
