While bumping around looking further before settling for another 9-5 my wife teases i,ll probably settle for , I looked yesterday at some interiors and the seat specifically ,as I do much mileage.
Being 186lbs, 5ft 11in but with a long back and large soulders I found the Lexus IS300 a very tight fit with my head rubbing the ceiling and shoulders tight against the door. The GS300 was spacious of course but surprisingly I couldnt find a comfy position like my Aero.
The Acura TL was really not a match to the 9-5 despite what the scribes say.The interior quality was not like the 9-5,and the seat was so so. THEN I tried the RL for fit-It was a world apart ,the seat was quite heavenly, it allows one with short legs and bad back(knees cant be higher than hips-my ortho says) to sit just right, it was a perfect blend of firmness with good side support. The interior quality was superb. There were too many buttons and gimmicks but one can ignore them perhaps. It was a treat .
So far its a choice of the RL 9-5 or STS if only the Caddy dealer locally wasnt so awful(was very arrogant and I think spoke down to me as I was dressed in crummy casual that day-big error as I really want to be a Canadian patriotic to US NAmerican companies). When asked about the free oil changes depending on the oil quality guage, not mileage, he sniffed"WE,not the customer decide when its time to change it".I,m afraid I rattled his cage with a reasonable question
Any other ideas of good seats for a bad back? Sorry for the ramble
