What model BMW do you have? I know that there was a very active forum for owners of e30 BMWs (84-91 3-series).
Since ther are so many more BMW cars out there, you might look for a website devoted to your chassis (e.g. e30, e36, e34, etc...) However, like Yaofang said, you might not be able to find the same kind of participation. (I think the e30 board is particularly good due to the fact that e30s are now kinda "classic" or fall into the project car catagory and have a bit of a "cult" following. (Much like some c900's and even 9000's)
Many BMW owners own a BMW by "accident" compared to Saab owners. Nearly all Saab owners know exactly what they have and what that means (e.g. '99 Viggen, 230 HP, special seats, wheels, bumpers, etc...) While there are certainly BMW owners in the same catagory, there are plenty who have a "Blue" BMW which they "really like." (What they may fail to tell you is that it's a 330i with a the sport and winter packages.) Not many M3 drivers are oblivious!
Anyway, check out roadfly and good luck.

(One of "those" Saab owners who actually really likes BMWs too!)
(Please don't hate me... . . . does anything compare to the driving experience of an e30 M3? Or, for that matter, a Viggen?)
