a lot of fun to drive. You feel quite connected to the car and road. His is putting out about 190 hp and it goes real good, but I really don't think it can out accelerate my 9000 CSE, even though it would obviously outhandle it. But on public roads it probably doesn't matter a whole lot aside from the fun factor of driving a streetable go-kart. Since there is less insulation and more NVH the MINI also may feel faster than it is. The supercharger does have a cool whistle when you put your foot into it but that might get old after a while.
Still, if I were to go for a pocket rocket like that I would probably go for a 9-2 Aero. Since it's a Suby WRX under the skin it has tons of untapped potential and I like AWD in a high-powered small car. Besides, since it was meant as a rally car I'm told there isn't a bad wrench position on the whole car.
But the Mini sure is a fun ride. My #2 daughter wants one, so I hope she isn't too disappointed when I get her a used Saab when she needs a car.
