I have, wife's now, an'05 3 hatch. Solid feeling it is...have had a ng900 ('95 set), and a long string of c900's. The ng never felt as solid as the c900's, and the 3 "feels" much like the c900's.
The MazdaSpeed3 benefits from much more beef everywhere! It is a great little car with a fully Japanese heritage. The engines are nearly hand built ala c900 Saabs! I see it as a "steal" for enthusiasts.
The interior compares favorably with what GM/Saab is putting out now, IMHO. The interior space compares favorably with a 9-3, or BMW 3 series. The gadjetry is advanced...radios are terrific.
Check one out...and while there give an opinion on the new CX7 turbo SUV...why couldn't Saab have done that???
