Those are antics and very few left on the road.
It is also fewer and fewer shops out there that wants to deal with them even though they might have worked on them when it was more available.
I wouldn't touch a Diesel Volvo now even though I used to work on them years ago.
I would also suggest to look for later (early 90s) 700 or 900 station wagons instead of the 200 since they are a more modern technology but still not crammed full of gadgets that can break like in newer Volvos.
A non turbo 940 is a bullet proof choice but stay away from the 16 valve engine version that was available between 89 and 92. It's just extra headache.
If you absolutly want to have a 240, try to find as new as possible since they did get better and better all the way to the end in 93.
volvoforums.com is another Volvo site but nothing beats Saabnet as far as info and easiness to use.
