We're considering a newish errand runner so have looked at these. For us the Versa is OUT because of rear seat & cargo area design. When you fold the rear seat down the Versa's cargo area is not flat, and there's a huge gap between cargo area and front seats, so any cargo could slide fwd and dump onto the floor. Poor execution. The Fit cargo area is flat the full length, and lower so you get a useful & tall cargo space.
If cargo hauling is not a big issue for you, the Versa's definately worth a look. Otherwise, look closely at the Fit. Great MPG and a well executed design. And it's been around oversees for years, so the bugs are worked out.
