like a friend's Honda Insight have the biggest problem defrosting windshields. He covers the windshield with an old army blanket on cold days. I would want heated seats, but that's not even an option in the newer ones.
Actually, most "True" alaskans can deal with the cold well, but seeing when we have only 5 hours of daylight in Dec and Jan is much more a problem. Gawd, those meese can appear out of nowhere!
I had been considering a Segway to commute the short distance to work. I do cycle all winter, but it's dangerous, and difficult to maintain a correct level of heat on the way to work, so I would need to shower there every day.
The eCommuter seems like a viable option at slightly more than the cost of a Segway, and I could pick up my son n the way home.
Thanks for any info.
