Anti-lock brakes available about 21 or 22 years before that certain assembled in America brand just started offering ABS on SOME of their models this year.

Then there's BMW's telever front which reduces braking dive by 90%. Now, they have the duolever which as I understand it is even better than telelever.

BMW offers belt drive, chain drive, and shaft drive in various models. If one wants to ride ten or 20 miles and get some tatoos and think they're cool, by all means go ahead.

But if someone wants to go on 1,000 mile day bike ride, that's BMW. Or a ride where there is no road and over long distances - that's KTM or BMW.

One side not to the paralever, BMW also has their generator (alternator) and water pump (on the K bikes) and also oil pump run counter to the engine's rotation or the opposite of what these items would normally run. This counter rotation also helps reduce torque shift to the side but paralever brings a whole new ballgame to the shaft drive.
