RDX Turbo - Regular gas??

I am considering getting an Acura RDX. The sales woman tells me it needs premium gas (no less than 91 Octanes). Since it is a turbo engine, am I really forced to use the high octane gas? wouldn't it be like Saabs that allow you to use regular?
Let me know what you think....
P.S. My 9000 CSE is dying and that's the reason I'm thinking about another car...
