I have ridden bikes for years, over a year ago I traded my bike for a more family oriented vehicle. (had to get rid of the 71 bug and the 70 f-100 too... sad day it was, but I now have my saab!). I've been carpooling to work, and that has been nice, drive 30+ miles one way. and I've let the other person put the miles on their car. But my schedule at work is changing and I'm not able to carpool anymore, and I'm looking to get a bike again.. My last bike I put 30k miles on it in 1 year, so I do a lot of riding. It was a yamaha vstar (650), Loved it a lot, but It got buzzy at highway speeds, that got old after a while. So I'm looking for any suggestions of a great bike for long commutes. I'm partial to cruisers, as I have a bum left knee, and sport bike seating possitions make my knee hurt after short rides, much less longer ones. a co worker let me ride his BMW, I liked how it felt sitting up, but didn't ride it more than half a mile, so don't know how my knee will like its riding position.
What all do you ride? I loved my yamaha, hated my suzuki, and my honda was my starter bike and was just a 250 and I'm way to big for one of those again. I have been eyeing a beatiful yamaha road star... but Still unsure...
