We, San Diego BMW Motorcycles, will have a booth at this years vintage races at the Coronado Speed Festival displaying our BMW motorcycles to all the motorheads. A slow motorcycle is faster than a fast car I always say.

I've been attending this event for years and years and always really enjoy the easy access and relaxed ambiance. Parking is a snap as the base handles as much or more traffic every work day. A ticket is full access, grandstands and displays as well as the pits. Plenty of grandstand seating means you can see the whole course from the stands for the race and then cruise over to the pits and congratulate the participants immediately after the race. Or just hang out in the pits looking at the million dollar vintage Bugattis, Alfas, Ferraris, Jags and more. The racing excitement comes in thundering herds in the final couple of vintage pony car events with their thundering V8's. Our neighbor JBA Racing is sharing our booth as well as entering their own Mustang and prepping many of the entrants

There's a Car Corral where all the local car clubs, Ferrari, Porsche, Miata, Corvette and more, and some motorcycle clubs too, are allowed to park right behind the grandstands with all manner of rare and modified cars. In addition there is an awesome display of military planes and hardware, flyovers and parachute drops as well as all the vendor tents with exotic cars and parts and this year BMW motorcycles too.

Sometimes Paul Perry brings his Sonett to race.
