I am posting this in the Other Cars forum since I don't think too many of us will be buying these for our Saabs but may buy then for the other brands we own.

Our youngest son's car exhibited brake squeal last week on a long drive. Since it had been 2009 since the last brake job on his GrandAm I bought new pads and installed them Saturday. I remember buying AutoZone pads last time and they seemed to work well on his car so I bought another set. While at the store they told me the pads have a lifetime warranty and that I was to bring back the old pads for a refund.

A warranty on brake pads???

Sure enough. I returned the old pads tonight, they found the original sale in their computer system and refunded the original purchase price. The pads I bought last week cost $6 less than the identical pads I bought in 2009 and they gave me the larger value, plus sales tax, as the refund!

The pads were AutoZone's Duralast Gold C-Max ceramic pads, their best private label pad. Good braking, easy on the rotors, clean wheels, and cost me less than nothing!

May be a good choice for others' non-Saab vehicles.
