Finally got my 97 Aero back on the road, with newly rebuilt cryo-treated transmission. I put in the SAAB synthetic fluid, and it shifts much smoother (I think my old trans had some synchro issues as well).

The Swedish Dynamics ceramic / scintered iron disc with stock pressure plate engages just like stock in normal driving conditions. Not grabby at all. When I gun it shifting to 2nd gear, I can hear a "bzzzt" sound, which I assume is the clutch rapidly engaging and disengaging. I'm only putting down about 240bhp, so I can't comment on its ability to hold a stage 4 ECU.

The Quaife ATB differential is seemless, no undesireable effects. I haven't put it to the test as far as performance increase. Also installed SAS rear sway bar and front sway bar bushings. It does feel more solid when going hard around corners, but it's been so long since I drove the car that a direct before/after comparison is difficult.

It sure is nice to be driving my own car again.
