ok so since soc ive been running a stage 4 on my 97 aero...jt full exhaust, k&n drop in, 500 cfm intercooler, and water injection...made 255hp at the wheels.
well its time for a bigger turbo...now the spots wherei need input...the choice is between a td04hl18t and a gt28rs. according to flow maps show only about a 10cfm flow difference in the two..although the gt can support 20-30 or more hp i believe. the 18t is a direct replacement since its an upgraded stocker but now nordic (and rumore group9) have gt units that are direct bolt ons (oil lines, and jt downpipe with no modifications). So besides cost which should i run?
next problem is fueling...at what point can the stock fuel pump no longer support the fuel needs? it has been discussed that the "green giants" run at 3.5 bar are just on the edge of adequate for a gt28rs (the 18t also?) and i have heard some talk of the deka injectors, although i dont know if you would need the 50# or the 60#? The deka's are less expensive and easier to come by so is the only reason they arent used because of being totally inneficient when it comes to gas mileage?
any other ideas and input is greatly appreciated!
i figured we had a thread about 9-5's like this so why not get some talk about 900 turbo upgrades ;)
