Hey all, just thought I'd share my experiences today with installing the later c900 turbo IC pipes and a TurboXS Type-H blow off valve. For reference, car is a 1987 900 T16S convertible with redbox apc, 3.0 fpr, k&n, dist mod, etc.

Difficulty: 3/10. Although, I was under the impression that the bigger IC pipes used the same fittings to the intercooler, but the one from the TB to the IC is different. Luckily, the set I purchased had something I could use. BOV was used in conjunction with the Jetta/Golf/Beetle 1.8T adapter kit (which use the same bosch bpv) so that was real easy. Comes with a blockoff for the intake hose, and a one inch fitting to adapt to the TB hose. Made the install of the BOV a breeze.

Performance: 6/10. What's odd is, I figured since I was adding larger pipes, there would be more lag, but a better top-end. But, it turned out the opposite. It seems to me that the turbo spools a bit faster, but I'm getting less max PSI than before. I think I have to attribute this to the BOV, though. I heard that the blow off valve helps spoolup between shifts, and *maybe* I'm leaking a bit of boost at max PSI. Sound is pretty good, not ridiculous, not ricey at all. If anything I'd actually like it a bit louder...

Issues: 2/10. I ended up using two stack washers for the BOV, I think I might try three, just to see if I'm leaking a bit of boost. That would explain the decrease in max psi I think. Honestly, I value spoolup more than maximum boost anyway, just because it's more practical for daily driving.
I also have to find a new hose from the BOV to the TB, I'm using the stock one and I've read here that the closer, the better. If I blow off a lot of boost, then get off the throttle, the RPMs dip down, but it hasn't killed the motor once.

Don't know if this helps anybody at all, but I just thought I'd share, just in case somebody's considering either of these things. If you have questions let me know (although I know many of you are lightyears beyond these upgrades!) Next up is volvo fmic and airflow kit... ;-)
