It's not clear to me the exact diameter of the Brembo kit. I don't speak Swedish, though years of Swedish car addiction and reading performance sites has left me able to read some! My understanding of the kit on the Speedparts site is that it is 25 mm more than stock, so that would be 305 mm. So, if it is 305 mm, it should work with 16" wheels, assuming the calipers aren't wacky. Another option in the same price category that fits under the 16" wheels is the Abbott 308mm kit, which uses Viggen Capilers, Viggen rotors redrilled for the 4x108mm bolt spacing on the 9000, and caliper adapters. I really don't like adding caliper adapters, for the same reasons I don't like wheel adapters/spacers, but that is only my opinion. Plenty of people are very happy with them. The PFS site claims the WP kit is made in England, so that suggests they are not made in Taiwan... It seems like most kits need an adaptor to mount the calipers... and the Abbott Viggen based kit has the advantage of using stock Saab hardware, so you will never have a problem with parts supply, or getting gouged on rotors or calipers in future, though you would of course need to have the rotors redrilled for the different bolt pattern.
My indy swears that there is a Raybestos pad available for the 9000 that 'will put you through the windshield' (his words), just using stock rotors and stock 9000 sized pads. He has considerable Saab and other experience, including track, so I think he knows what he's talking about. I was thinking for my next front pads & rotos I will get Zimmermann rotors, and the BMW M3 sized Raybestos pad, which can be made to fit the 9000 calipers, with a tiny amount of grinding on the back. A lot of people on here have used other brake pads in the BMW size and been very pleased with the results, so I'm hoping the Raybestos in BMW size will be enough for me. Figure $120-200 for the Zimmermans, depending if you want crossdrilled or not, and the Raybestos pads are about $150 list. That's a lot less than any 4 or 6 piston kit.
