If the added subframe is stiff enough to make a difference and stop the steel body from flexing and twisting, there will have to be some very strong fasteners to transfer the load and the body and added subframe would have to have local reinforcements to handle the tension and shear loads. If the fasteners are tight in shear, then the expansion and contraction of the aluminum, would cause damage. Aluminum has 3 times the modulus of elasticity of steel, so from one point of view, it might be too rubbery to overcome the flex of the body. From another point of view, you need 3 times the volume of aluminum to equal the same stiffness of steel. So do consider the use of steel for such things.
The six point front SF braces have had good praise for sedans and convertables alike. As for the stiffness of the floor pan area through the door openings, I have no idea what can be done about that.
