I installed a Genuine Saab (Taliaffero) front strut brace on my 9000 Aero. It was well worth the money and I am glad I did it. Others have reported that it only provided a subtle handleing improvement but mostly eliminated sqeeks from their dash board. I must state that it produced a marked improvement in the handling on my car. Perhaps I am experienceing a combination of serveal upgrades. In November, I installed front and rear poly sway bar bushings as well as poly lower rear control arm bushings. The cumulative effect of these upgrades is significant and highly recommended. My overall perception is highly responsive stearing and maneouvering. It feels great. My theory is that without the poly bushing upgrades, the rigidity gained by the brace causes energy to be transfered to mushy rubber suspension bushings instead of being trasnfered to the road wheels. Of course, without the strut brace, you have more front end body torsion.
PS: The first strut brace Taliaferro shipped to me would not fit, period. The bracket holes were out of tolerance. I must highlight Genuine Saab's excellent customer service. They paid to ship the suspect brace back to their store and then shipped out a second brace that fit fine.
