I think what you need to be looking at is the amount of money you want to spend. The C900 IMHO doesn't have a set of Stages for upgrade. I feel there are a couple things you can do without having to do a JSP chip upgrade. Just to be clear, I'm not saying you can increase the boost without the extra fuel and so fourth. I'm saying by swapping the stock IC pipes on an 89 with allow the Eng. to breath better. Maybe a couple hp's. A small adjustment in the APC should give you some more. Plus the timing mod and the hump in the exhaust manifold. File that thing down. Maybe a downpipe too. After those items I'd look strongly at the intercooler(stock) and maybe go with a JSP IC. The stock IC really holds you back! Choke point!!
I have down a ton of things and only have a stage 1 ECU. Head rework cams, intake, injectors bla bla bla.
I will say there is many mods that can be in the afternoons that don't take much time. Keep searching this board. Lots and lots of posts!!
