Ive had it off of teh SPG forever
when under boost the only draw on the crankcase is the vacum caused by resistance in the air filter because the line is placed between the filter & turbo at idle, deceleration & lite cruise a small vacum hose draws on teh crankcase both of which are basically to keep crankcase fumes recycled & burned (emissions)
T7 engines have a built in oil seperator on the back of the block which actually sort of workks like a catch can but the plumming is a bit long it just drips the oil it pulls out onto the ground & puts the fumes in front of the turbo
atmospheric crankcase vents are used on performance cars around the world its nothing new
on my SPG I ran it that way for years
this viggen just got back on the road yesterday
I do have one on my newgen for a week or so now
the key is using a decent diameter hose & hopefully not too long
if you arent comfortable with that you can just put one in line with the OE crankcase vent line so it pulls the liquid out & only puts fumes into the turbo inlet but I dont even want crankcase fumes in the intake just clean fresh air :-)
