As i understand it, the pin goes to ground when the APC recognizes knock. Now this is not a simple voltage from the knock sensor. The knock sensor is just a microphone, so the input must be filtered. And yes, in a way it is a hardwired voltage, as everything in the apc is hardwired, its analog, there is no software.
