Several sponsors of this site sell internal engine parts. If you're refurbishing a head, including new valve seats, valves, valve guides, lifters, then replace the springs as well and complete the renewal. I'll guess those high miles on the donor head have caused a few of those springs to lose their spec rigidity. By how much I don't know, but consider when lifters die at different rates, they cause the springs to operate differently. All the heat, pressure and vibration over time will effect the tension.
