there's an easier way Posted by saabu [Email] (#1133) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabu) on Tue, 9 May 2006 20:58:02 In Reply to: How far off is a 9000 flywheel timing mark from C900..., Chaz, Sun, 7 May 2006 18:41:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
put the two flywheels next to each other and line up the crankshaft locator pin holes. whereever the 20 (or 16, or zero depending on your preference) degree is on the 9000 flywheel, stamp a mark in to the 900 flywheel.
i used a gasket scraper and lightly hammered the alu flywheel to make marks.
i recall reading somewhere that the 0 on the 900 is 30 on the 9000, or something like that, but if i were you, just line them up like i mentioned above.
i assume you are doing the 9000T clutch upgrade? i did it last year, just for kicks. got a 9000t clutch kit from the yard, had the disc relined via Vince Tong in Edmonton and its pretty nice. no noticeable difference but then again Vince will tell you i drive like a grandma.... then again i dont have the bulletproof tranny either.
