...What a difference. Now the welds are smooth, and the feel while welding is smooth and comfortable. When the flux wire spatters, you need to fight the weld to get it done. When the proper wire is used with the proper gas, the welds just flow with an easy progression. The feel is a smooth motion. When watching the wire through my mask, it looks as if the wire just effortlessly turns into a fluid. Contrast that with the flux wire whick looks like a series of explosions with spray.
The floor welds are solid. I am now about to weld the rockers on my Sonett(just some small areas, so no bracing needed.)
Thanks to everyone for helping me get this figured out.
