After my last tranny blew I was ready to sell the car I was so fed up with blowing tranny's while trying to drive easy on them. Then I talked to Bo at automotion, he set me up with a project he was working on at the beginning of the summer and after the month I had to wait for Quaiffe to send the diff, it's finally coming together. It's a 9000 case with the chevy cobalt internals and the 9000 limited slip differential from quaiffe. I was also curious about whether the gear ratios are different (shorter) in the cobalt b/c Im hoping that would help reduce some of the torque stress from having WOT over our long gears. I also plan to put in an oil cooler on the tranny to reduce the heat even more. I'll let everyone know how it drives later this week.
