At about 10 PSI weird shit starts happening. At first i had a bleed off type controller which let me hit higher boost (13ish) because it got there more 'gently.' Now with a ball and spring type at 10 It starts sputtering, and if pushed, a black cloud erupts out the back.

As far as i know the PCV is in good working order, plumbed like a normal 16 valve. the check valve works. The ignition timing is set properly, but i still suspect an ignition problem. There is no evidence of lean out besides this problem, and at 5000 rpm at 7 psi when there is a greater fuel requirement i have no prob, but at 3000 rpm and 10 psi is more when the problem seems to occur. I doubt its lean out.

So. CIS incorporates a 'full load enrichment' and touts good throttle response because of metering plate overswing on full throttle. Maybe I am too rich under sudden spool up?

First thing i want to know for sure is that its not ignition. How can i tell? I put the advance/retard capsule back to stock. I am using a non turbo coil off an EZK car.

I just replaced the turbo *yesterday* with a known good unit off an 8 valve turbo. Same problem but less smoke.

I would appreciate ANY thoughts!
