Hi Rob,
I think what you really have to look at here is how small our (and by our, I mean the Saab performance enthusiast) market is. Because it's so small when compared with some of the other euro- japanese- domestic-performance groups, you have to be ready to cut the dealers a bit of a break. I've ordered parts from both, and have never had an issue with the quality of the parts. Additionally, I've spoken with reps from both companies, and they're all EXTREMELY helpful, and are passionate about what they do and about Saabs in general. The only issues I've had are with part supply and shipping, but in both instances, once the parts came in they were overnighted to me to make up for the extra wait - this sort of thing keeps me coming back. I haven't had any experience with Jak yet, but plan too once I put my 85 back on the road (can't wait to try out one of his remapped LH chips). Anyway, best of luck with your car, and welcome to the boards!
