Using the potentiometer TPS from 2.4.2 will not work with 2.4 - I don't know what will happen, but my guess would be that the 2.4 ECU will always think the throttle is at rest.
You could probably get away with what you're trying to do by using a microswitch (like 8v cars) to close when the throttle is at rest, and connect that to the appropriate pins on the LH 2.4 harness. You don't need, per se, the LH to know when the throttle is WOT.
Just remember that the 2.4.2 potentiometer TPS uses a different throttlebody than the 2.2/2.4 TPS... you'll have to switch that out.
