MP Intercooler Installed in '02 Viggen

As promised, here's a follow-up to my previous post about intercoolers for a Viggen.
Yesterday I finally installed my new MP IC and I'm very happy with the results. As I've read, the new IC not only lets the power come on faster but it holds for much longer. My Viggen, which I thought was already fast is now quite a bit faster! The car feels amazingly strong all the way to the redline...just keeps pulling!!!!
The install was pretty easy with the exception of a broken gear clamp on the left hose. Tip, have some spare 3" stainless steel gear clamps on hand. You may have noticed that MP, like many other performance ICs, has no mounting brackets. I was a little bothered by this but after installing mine I can see that they're not really necessary. The IC sits on the metal power steering pipes. I put a strip of self adhesive closed foam on the bottom of the IC and ran a couple of strips of the same foam on the back of the tanks so that the IC was isolated from the pipes and the rad. I used 5/8" thick foam but will redo the lower strip with 1/4" as the IC sits a bit higher than I would like it to.
MP's highly polished finish is pretty amazing on these units....a very nicely made unit. I put a coat of wax on my IC before installing it in an attempt to preserve it's 'bling' factor. I'm glad I did, because you can see it through the Viggen's bumper opening.
Now I'm waiting for MP's 3" downpipe as I've heard the IC/DP combo is amazing!!!! Besides, I want my car to make a bit more noise when I push the 'go' button! And now for my next upgrade....snow tires!
