I love my new water/methonal injection system from snowperformance.net
You want about a 50/50 mix of methonal, any more and you are wasting methonal. The methonal act's like high octane fuel, some claim as high as 116 Octane race gas and it really seems to help up here a mile high, the gains may not be as great at sea-level? The biggest part of using a system like this to get hp gains is the tune. If you do not tune it and you are 11.1/1 a/f, you will only see modest slight gains. 50% of the gains are from being able to advance the timing more, 50% of the gains are the colder, denser air charge. The hardest part is convincing the tuner to lean it out to say at least 12.5/1 for good gains, 13.5/1 for decent gains and 14.5/1 for rocking gains :-) Brad is running 14.7/1 and 26psi of boost with no detonation on a classic 900 with T3 turbo making a claimed 360bhp :-) I just happened to be tuned a little lean and then with water/methonal injection, it ended up being 30psi at peak and 13.4/1 on air-fuel and the car rocks, it only peaks there at peak boost and is into the 12's to about 5k and then into the 11's from about 5k to redline at 7k. I have trouble keeping it on the road :-) It trys to change lanes on me when I stand on it 3rd and 4th gear... I think I gave Jak a little scare there :-) Hold on Jak... :-) For me personally, its working very well and I wish I had tried it a long time ago... We did run out of water/methonal once, it dropped from 28psi to about 20psi and we knew something was wrong, got home, yup, out of water... Filled her up and now its running strong again... :-) I am going to try some negative toe-in on the front end to try and keep it straight on the road, it really is a little dangerous now :-) I recommend highly... John
