allot of pinion bearing failures are due to incorectly pre loaded pinion bearings (they should be set tighter then you might think)
also the crush sleave under heavy shock loads can flex & loosten causing bearing failure
if you raplace the crush sleave with a solid spacer & preload the bearings with shims you will ad quite a bit of suport & longevity to the trans
this is an old swedish trick with the C900
