Hi,
The swap to the volvo rear calipers is very popular among the rally crowd. The main reason to switch to the volvo caliper is when you upgrade the front brakes to larger calipers then front/rear brake bias gets thrown off. The volvo calipers are quite similar to the saab rears except they have a much larger piston bore that matches up well with a wilwood 4-pot on the front. The mounting tabs are different but the offset is close and with some redrilling and a custom bracket they bolt on nicely. Of course you will not have an e-brake anymore if you add the wilwood front calipers but that dosent matter because we add a hydraulic rear hand brake setup. On our rally car we made it so you can easily disable the ratchet mechanism for use on stages, but we can also enable it for use as a parking brake. The picture below is a standard caliper vs a modified volvo. You can see more pictures on our website.
