a little on turbo building Posted by jak [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Anyone dealt with Majestic Turbo?Need wheel rebalanced, Rich Chang, Mon, 27 Nov 2006 04:03:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
have both wheels ballanced
usually the shaft will have to be straitened on a T25 to get the runout down to half a thousands then they polish & measure the bearing journals & measure the ring grooves
then both wheels need to be ballanced individually & together & are marked rotationally
the bearing housing needs to be verry carefully inspected for dammage in the seal area on the exhaust side & re honed
you need index the rotor group rotationally the way they ballanced it or it wont live to long
Ive found that turbos arent hard to build but you are best off having a pro do it
you can bend the shaft enough to dammage the turbo just tightening the nut.... so be really careful, like use a T handle where you arent side loading the shaft they do flex
I hope that helps
have a great week
take care
