boost mapping is just throttle position by RPM using the map sensor signal as the load axis for fuel & timing & to know where boost is
so in a 9000 that you swap the turbo on all things left the same it should try to achieve the same target boost but with a bigger turbo you will make more power because at the same boost you are moving more air :-)
Ive had folks run my T25/28s with stock SW for a bit before buying SW & state that the car ran really well with the stock ECU & with low boost it is totally safe
T7 on the other hand does calculate torque based on air mass & RPM & will controll turbine speed to limit torque & HP
