I've heard that he older acura cl/tl type s 3.2 achieved this effect.
The plan is to take a vacuum advance distributor from a turbo 900 and slap it on an n/a...bump up the base timing a bunch and run some 93 octane and see what happens...in theory it could even work well with 87 as long as the stock timing is back to nominal at ~0psi...and 93 would allow for some extra power on top of that.
