The APC system could be used on any turbocharged vehicle and could even be considered a stand alone system. The APC control unit, wire harness, input components (knock sensor and pressure transducer), three way BCV would need to be removed from the salvage 900 and installation to a the 91 would only require connection to 12V pos, ground, and tachometer signal input as well as the other components above.
Since ignition retard will be critical with high charge pressures, use of the turbo ignition system may be a good idea if targeting over 10 psi. The EZK ignition system employs knock detection which retards ignition timing under detonation and can be used in conjunction with low charge pressures (the EZK acts as detonation protection when not using the APC). Only 6-8 psi is acceptable if using the EZK without APC but charge pressures could exceed 20-25 psi when employing APC.
