Not completely sure what part you are referring to - is it the "boost pressure control valve" = BPC? In Aeros and other 9000 turbos 1993-on Trionic supplanted the old DI/APC system, and you do call the part a valve.
If so - many moons ago some people spent time measuring the orifices in these valves and generally studying them, and I don't think there was any real difference to be found. The electronic parts catalogue only shows one BPC valve since 1990.
But there certainly used to be two versions of the valve as supplied by Bosch, one with a Bosch part number ending in 103 and a newer one ending 110, which was supposedly uprated, sometimes called the Viggen valve. Didn't know any of the 103s were still around. In any case, go for the 110 for all applications. There doesn't seem to be anything better (which isn't the same as saying it's extra good!).
It's possible the parts page is referring to the pre-1990 valve, which was Saab part number 75-17-477. The newer valve is part number 74-85-576. Oh yes - the hoses are different too, manual Aeros (B234R) have a different part number for these.
