AFAIK, the Trionic will compensate and cut back boost so it runs fine. As least that's what appears to happen. I know of a few people who are running an Aero ECU with a T25.
Depends on the transmission too. If an Aero ECU is placed in an auto car, you'd need to pull the fuse or cut the wire to fool the ECU into thinking it's in a 5-speed.
