need help: oil blowing out of dipstick tube? Posted by Bryan [Email] (#542) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bryan) on Sat, 21 Apr 2007 11:29:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
when i drive my modded c900 (200 miles driven thus far with the redone engine), oil eventually comes out of the dipstick tube from the oil pan. it comes out and runs down the tube and collects on the subframe.
-did compression test, all cylinders near factory spec. (does that mean the rings are seated, seems like yes, but?????)
-just replaced the valve cover breather one way valve, it had a very minor leak when blowing the wrong way
is there anything else besides these things that can cause oil to come out the dipstick tube?
can that diafragm valve hold the pressure a high pressure turbo, say 22-24 PSI? stock is what 8-12 PSI?
i thought of the catch can but for now want to see if i can resolve without adding one.
thanks for the info
