Daniel - hi, sorry, was away all week.
If you have an Abbott ECU it's worth calling them because their attitude to ECU tuning seems to have changed with the years. Earlier ones depended on a higher base boost setting. You need to find out from them what will work with your ECU.
A turbo change is probably not the first thing to consider, because, apart from anything else, it's expensive. Elkparts used to have an affordable intercooler, maybe still do, but you could also look at Speedparts, Abbott, genuinesaab.com usw. Think you need to browse around the board more on this one. You can get to mega bhp without changing your turbo.
I have a Forge blow-off valve but I don't need it with standard boost - I just ebayed it because, like Everest, it was there. They work well and make a nice noise, and aren't expensive. The standard Bosch -110 is good for 225 bhp-plus.
Still reccommend that if you change the spec, you talk to the ECU people because that's the key to making it all work. You don't really need the hardware (sorry, I know this is heresy) to get more power than you can usefully put down onto the road. Suspension inprovements are less sexy but essential if you are going for big numbers.
