Don't have an answer for you related to the Maptun rotor question but could you define - atrocious?

How many miles did you put on the rotors?

In other words, are your current rotors warped and worn down to the point that the rotors cannot be machined?

Driving/braking style and the pads you have can also accelerate rotor wear. What pads are you running?

If you replace the rotors after two brake pad changes, then that is ok considering the cold/hot cycle that the rotors go through.

Are you using the Viggen/Aero 308mm rotors? If so, then from what the Maptun rotors look like, the car's running/maintenance cost will certainly go up.

On the other hand, if you can encumber the cost of the Maptun brake kit, then go for it.

For me, I got about 40k or 45k out of the OEM rotors, two pad changes. As long as the brakes work well to stop the car, then that's good enough for me. I am now using ceramic pad and have noticed an improvement in rotor life, though not that dramatic.
