I now have a 3-inch downpipe/cat/flex-pipe, which I am going to keep on my car.
Everything 3-inch diameter in back of the flex pipe is going to be removed on Friday morning (less than one week old!), & replaced with 2.5-inch stainless pipe & two Magnaflow mufflers.
The 3-inch cat-back was too loud for my middle-aged ears, but someone else (especially a younger person!) might actually like the sound. So, the cat-back portion of my 3-inch system will be up for sale as of this weekend. Will be in two pieces (one long 3-inch pipe + the center muffler, & the short pipe that goes over the axle with a second muffler & a nice oval tip). All in stainless.
Yours for $150 if you want it. An exhaust shop would need to re-join the pipes immediately behind the rear axle, & transition from the rear of your existing flex pipe to my 3-inch. It could also be made a bit quieter by adding a resonator between the flex pipe & center muffler.
I'm in the metrowest area (Holliston, MA) daytime, if you want to hear it installed on my car before you buy anything (mine or any other 3-inch system).
