So I have my new home brewed engine in but there is this little problem. I just got done driving 500 miles which I thought would be enough time to break in the new bearings/rings etc.. now I have the APC plugged in. Once I get to 15psi something happens, the boost will continue to rise but the power will go down the higher it gets. It feels like I am hitting the boost cutoff switch but one problem, my car does not have one. I havew checked the obvious, hose clamps and the like but I am stumped. I runs great to 15psi then dies. Heres my current setup, everything is 89' except the engine which I have ported and polished but is otherwise stock 85' (crazy cams). I run the MSDBTM & blaster coil, stock ignition wires and a self tweaked APC that could sustain 20psi with my old engine(RIP) . Timing is at 18deg, boost retard is set to 1deg/psi and stock retard has been defeated. So whats the prob? any ideas would be helpful
Thanks,
Cutic 89' 900T
