dont use total seal or Deeves - go with the OE rings which are chrome top ring design for high pressure applications.
if you can avoid touching the bottom end of the engine, do so. as soon as you pull the pistons you are looking at block refresh, piston refresh, and unless the engine is burning oil, there's probably mininal cylinder wall wear. on two blocks that were measured by a profesional with a bore measuring set, with over 250,000 miles on each, there was 1 thou taper- virtually no wear!!! just clean up the top of the engine block and have the cylinder head cut flat.
