Thanks Dennis :-) I think you are right and I really felt like I had the power to get into the high 12's at Tuner Mayham and if they would have just given me a few more tries, I felt like I could have put 12's on the board. I did hear Bandimere was a very strict track and I might have better luck at Pueblo. They are know for not being as strict and they are also 2000' lower in elevation. That might be just the ticket to get me into the 12's in Colorado.
I have also thought of towing the car to Kansas and busting out some mid 12 second times and that would make me really happy. I think Jak will be busting out some really good times soon enough... Its times like these that I really wish I lived at sea-level.
I tell you the best part of this whole thing is having the only Saab at the event and beating up on other known fast cars. I did win every race at Tuner Mayham and one was a brand new 07 Porshe 911 and fast Volkswagen gti. I also beat a skyline gtr and Mitsu Evo 8 two weeks earlier.
The most fun is beating up on the v8 muscle cars up here at elevation. What better times than boosting past a Pontiac Fire-Hawk and seeing his face and look of horror as the granny vert saab goes on bye.... That has been the best part of this whole operation and the Saab is getting a lot of attention at the track! Sleeper cars are great :-)
