The car is totally gutted, all the AERO parts are removed, both side pannels and front and rear bumpers, even removed the heater parts this year, including the blower motor and heater core and hoses which would normally be full of water.
Only one seat (25 lbs), no sunroof, 13lb battery, no side mirrors, no wipers or motors and linkage.
Removed airbags, and seatbelt and mechanisms. Use 5 point harness for driver.
smaller lightweight steering wheel, this is a big improvement in driving feel and response. Lightweight stainless exaust, no mufflers, still not that noisy....
Hope to get some pictures up soon. Probably on my saabnet album.
Second gear starts are awesome and real consistant once you figure it out, 3000 rpm, quick clutch release and throttle stab to break wheels loose, then you have to modulate throttle to get the right amount of wheelspin for good acceleration.....this takes you to over 50 mphwith the gearing and tire size I race with.
