In a bid to reduce the swarm of piping on top of the engine i also eliminated these hoses. I used the 8-valve water pipe as Dave says, eliminating everything else related to the TB/breather vent line coolant path. I got my dad to thread the little nipple on the hard coolant pipe with 3/8 NPT and got a set screw to plug that hole with thread sealant and a small clamp around it.
If someone is going to use a custom intake pipe then definitely delete the crankcase breather line. if the car has no AC then the compressor location would be a great place to put some sort of puke can, but can you find one to fit - i couldnt... someone should design and market one specifically for this car - it could mount using the two compressor mounting holes and would be a tidy install.
